Jacquard presents a collective name for fabric group made by interweaving threads of different nature (cotton, flax, viscose rayon, polyester, polypropylene), count, colour, glitter and structure. To a large extent, the choice of a mattress is determined by the quality of facing fabric. The word “jacquard” in itself is a definition of top-quality - it means an elegant appearance plus strength and durability. Jacquard is made of cotton, synthetic or blended fabric. At the same time, the yarn can be a multicolour one (up to ten different thread colours can be used) like tapestry or a one-color one which is to be stained subsequently. Frequently, threads containing fibres of specific plants or made as a result of high technology are used.
